The Sony CMT-CP500MD micro system combines great design with fantastic audio technology. Comprising a MiniDisc player/recorder, Tuner, CD player and cassette deck, the CP500MD will meet all your musical needs.
The attractively styled silver central unit is accompanied by a pair of wood cabinet two-way bass reflex speakers, with detachable grilles. These speakers, with 12.5 cm woofer and 2.5cm tweeter help drive the amplifiers 35 watts RMS per channel to produce a powerful rich sound that will fill a good-sized room with ease. The Dynamic Sound Generator (DSG) selectively improves the bass and treble segment of your music to produce natural sound effect without distortion. There are also separate bass and treble controls, so that you can set the output to fit your tastes.
The CD player is a tray loading vertical device that uses a prism mechanism. It employs a single bit D/A converter with 18-bit digital filter. It supports CD-R and CD-RW playback, CD Text and Disc memo. The tuner receives FM and MW and has a total of 30 presets. The MiniDisc recorder features MDLP long play recording and 2x high speed CD to MD recording. The single cassette deck includes CD synchro record.
